A new set of modules is underway in partnership with Ashkenaz in the Schools!

Have your children ring in the new year with A Jewish Music Journey through the Ages ... and more ... at the Morris Winchevsky School: Toronto's Secular Jewish Community School. Our program focuses on social justice and the arts and offers flexibility for busy families.

Together with *Ashkenaz in the Schools, we bring you an exceptional opportunity to introduce your students to Cantorial, Sephardic/Mizrahi, Ladino, Klezmer, Yiddish and Israeli music with Ashkenaz musicians including Aaron Bensoussan, Aviva Chernick, Mitch Smolkin, Eric Stein and Avital Zemer.

* Toronto's Ashkenaz Foundation is best known for producing the biennial Ashkenaz Festival, North America's largest celebration of Jewish music and culture. Ashkenaz in the Schools is an educational outreach program dedicated to connecting young people with diverse forms of Jewish music, art and culture.

Classes are held on Sunday mornings at our new downtown location - 918 Bathurst Street - in the Annex and resume on Sunday January 8th, 2012.

We are now accepting registrations for these 6-week long modules:

January 8 - February 19, 2012:
A Jewish Music Journey through the Ages
Eco-Jews: Culture, environment, activism

February 26 - April 29, 2012:
Secular and Jewish? Who, what, why...
